Today has been a great day and before we knew it it was time to go pick up Mariah from school. Completely cleaning out the chicken coop was first on our list this morning. It was beyond nasty, stinky and nasty and desperately needed done. Now it smells so good and is so clean I could take a nap out there. The pine shavings smell so good. Then we lite a burn pile, the one across the road and it is slowly burning. It has been a very wet winter so the wood is wet but these piles (the one we burnt yesterday and this one) were huge and needed taking care of. We also rotortilled the garden beds and I planted two different kinds of lettuce, spinach, radishes, beets and snow peas. It was so nice to be able to go out and play in the dirt again. Then we pruned the raspberry patch, the dead ones still need picked up. We just left them on the ground all around the patch, tomorrow I will move them to the last burn pile we have to burn this year.
Now our wonderful friend is coming to our house to cut Emmy's hair, it works out so much better this way. Thank God for people like her.
Here is a before pic, I will post an after pic later.
