What a wonderful day and for the first time in a long time, I realized I am happy. Happy with my life, my family and everything else. I am happy. We didn't get to church this morning, only Josh did. Mariah slept in and Dale's parents came up to visit. Billy came up to help Dale with some pruning and they did a major job. It looks so much better. We are hoping that by pruning these trees we are able to allow sunshine on the roofs of the shop and house and we can stop the moss growth. The yard is looking so nice, of course after every project is ocmpleted, we add another one. Someday we will have to run out of projects I think, won't we?
The temp was in the 60s today and it was great to be outside. Warm enough not to have a sweatshirt on and I could feel my bones soak up the warmth of the sun. Emilee had a great time swinging on the back porch and Mariah swang on the tire swing. I had a lovely visit with my mother-in-law and that was surprising. I was actually sad to see them go home.
I have one hen in the hen house that the roo has picked on for some time. He just doesn't like her for whatever reason. He pecks at her neck something fierce and I have had her in the duck pen and the goat pen and everywhere else I could think of. She has been back with the chickens for a couple of months now and she is still miserable so my friend Kim is going to give her a home with her hens. This is sad to me because she is the only chicken that I have out of the babies that Momma hatched. I know it is just a chicken and if she can have a better life at Kim's house than that is where I want her. I hope she is happy there and if not then Kim will tell me and I will bring her home.
My onions and broccoli and strawberries are looking good. I can't wait until we can eat fresh veggies. YUM!!!!!
