It was a Monday, in every sense of the word. My list of things to do today was a whole notebook list and every line was full. Some of it is getting carried over to tomorrow's list. Went to work for about 3 1/2 hours today and on the way seen that the local discount store was clearing out their plants for 75% off. I bought a whole flat of perennials and hot peppers for $5 and some odd cents. I spent 45 minutes of blissful silence reading plant tags and just looking at them. It was wonderful, simply wonderful. Delivered 4 dozen eggs on my way to work, have almost 2 more dozen in the frig. Egg sales are going crazy.
Went out on the boat yesterday after church, it was so relaxing and fun. Emilee stayed with grandma and grandpa and we just went tubing and swimming. What a way to spend the day.
The green beans are starting up in full force, the cherries and raspberries are all over the place, garden is looking great. Outside chores are being done in the morning or evening as it is hot in the afternoon, the pool is a great place to spend the hot afternoon. The pool is finally warmed up enough for Emilee to play and enjoy it.
There is so much more to tell and not enough time. I have decided to sell at the Farmer's Market for sure starting next Tuesday. I will be offering homemade dog bones, lavender bouquets, eggs, raspberries, cherries and green beans. Also some baked goods and whatever else I can think of. If you are local and reading this come see me at the Farmer's Market and take some Homestead Farms produce home to enjoy.
