How about Thanksgiving in November

That may be a weird title, but really think about it. Everywhere one goes they are bombarded with Christmas images, decorations and music. This all started shortly after Halloween. Now call me crazy, but Thanksgiving is an important holiday to me. It is one of our country's holidays. It was started as a way of giving thanks to our way of life here. Somewhere along the way, it seems that we as a country have started taking for granted our freedoms and just expect them. Thanksgiving has the word "thanks" right in it. Christmas also has the word "Christ" in it. I feel that we have forgetten the meaning and reason of these two holidays. Maybe I am just in a pissy mood because the Santa magic is gone at our house. Josh thinks there is no Santa, Mariah is teetering on the fence and give Emilee her swing, blanket and juice and she could care less. I am so tired of hearing "This is what I want for Christmas", how about what can you do or give to others. Which brings me back to Thanksgiving, be thankful, appreciate what we have and by all means share your wealth, regardless of how little you have, with others. Remember we are celebrating these holidays the way we want because of men and women who gave the ultimate gift -they gave their life! Freely given to protect our way of life here. Makes me think of another man that freely gave his, although he could have at any second changed his mind and could have stop the whole process and changed the course of history. Thank you, Jesus for dying on the cross, thank you, Jesus for loving us, thank you, Jesus for allowing us to live in America.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!
