Worldly Possessions

Did you ever really look around your house and wonder where in the world did all of this stuff come from? I am not talking about special treasures or souveniors, but rather the stuff that seems to creep in under the door and take up precious space and permanent residency! Our living room has went from a relaxing place to a school area with two computers and stacks and stacks of books. I was vacuuming tonight and when I stopped for a moment I looked around and the clutter is a joy stealer and a peace robber. The question really lies in what to do with all of it. I wonder if our human life is like that, that clutter or junk of everyday hum-drum things that really won't matter in a week, month or possibly the next day can crowd out Jesus's voice and our inner peace. I really don't care what your house looks like although mine is putting me over the edge, I urge anybody and especially myself to stop and ponder, can you still hear Jesus through the everyday clutter?
