Another Day, Another Great Day!

Today I decided Huey needed to learn what the great outdoors was like, plus I was hoping it would wear him out so he might sleep tonight and not make noise while the house is trying to sleep. We had a great time outdoors and he ran all over the backyard following me. It was absolutely hysterical. I am really hoping to still unite him with a geese family, but he will be missed.

Today the 50 Cornish X chicks we ordered came in, there were actually 52 all together. 26 for us and 26 for a friend. They are really cute but I will not get attach to these babies, I simply will not allow myself to. I can't became attached because in 7 or 8 weeks they will be in our freezer. I will see how this goes, they are in the shop right now but I hope to have them out on pasture in two weeks or sooner. The weather has turned cold and rainy so we will see. I am hoping this turns into a worthwhile project.

Thanks, we think so, it is going to be sad when he leaves and unless they can promise he will be reunited with a geese family, I may fight them against taking him. I didn't ask for him, I would have never taken him from a family but now that he is here, he is ours. He is imprinted on us sadly which may affect him when he is out in the wild.
