Most amazing around here is the baby chick made it and another one hatched to keep him company. This is most amazing to me, those little chicks must be extremely hardy or this one is truly a fighter. Here is a pic of what a mess I made trying to do the "right" thing.

I will be posting most adorable pics in a few days of Fighter Chick and his friends. I don't want to open the incubator to take new pics.
Life around here is never dull and lately the projects have been never ending. My husband is a man of making things work, he is very creative when it comes to machinery His grandpa had bought this rotortiller from the neighbor for $25.00 to tow behind his 4-wheeler, but it never towed right and was a pain. Mr. Creativity put a tongue on it and it made all the difference in the world.
This is the area where we planted pumpkins and some cantelope.

He is now having fun tilling up everything he can find. The above pic shows him tilling up the compost heap that was sopping wet and needed turned but was too heavy to actually turn it properly. Here is some pics of the new garden beds that he was had fun tilling up.

The turkeys have been two months today and they are getting huge, we finally got their run built, their house is not really a house but just a shelter. That is all they need, I am hoping for two hens and a tom. That way we will have the extra tom at Thanksgiving and then have breeding stock for next year. I already have a list for poults next year so hoping that this works.
